sean sherk is fighting george st pierre?....

they just coerced me into spending my money....sherk is an utter beast....maybe the strongest pfp guy in mma(hughes?..maybe).....a monster wrestler....

and st pierre?....a buzzsaw....my hat`s off to st pierre...the guy dodges no one......no more canandian jokes from this corner....lol

what a fight...should be the main event,imo...

btw...don`t take my sherk comments to mean that i`m picking him over st pierre....st pierre is probably the most exciting fighter i`ve seen....as well rounded an offensive fighter as there is...perpetual motion....

sherk`s only loss...that i`m aware of...is to matt hughes...he has wins over karo parisian(2) and a win over ghosn...

he has a shot...if he can get st pierre on the mat....and pound him....rough him up....

this weight class is pretty damned amazing...

balls to the wall?....have to go with a hot st pierre...

but,at over 3-1...that`s dangerous.....

i`ll pick `em when i see playable odds...

There just isn't any value in any of the plays except possibly Sherk, the guy is a beast.

But to bet against St. Pierre is stupid. If I was willing to lay the odds I will go all faves except St. Pierre.

The safest bet is the Franklin V. Quarry fight. I hate to say it but Nate Quarry is all hype.

If you move on one that should be it, even though Hughes is a beast he has to lose sometime.

8 times out of 10,franklin smokes him...maybe 9...

It does seem like Quarry may be a bit hyped up, but three UFC fights in a 6 month period and three TKO's. Is the guy hot? Franklin got rocked by Tanner in the rematch, even though Tanner couldn't finish, but Quarry is a finisher. Should be exciting. Someone is getting knocked out. It won't go the distance you can bet your house on that.

i`m not entirely sure about it.....i saw the "boxing news" website story and there was no mention of sherk/st p........

but, none of the mma websites are saying that it`s "not" on the show.....

i hope i`m wrong...

well....i`m not laying over 3-1....so i`ll parlay hughes/franklin and remy bojansky in k-1 over big korean goofball hong man choi......

he won the asian k-1 card that i saw...but,he looked like just another giant goon....expect bojansky to chop him to ribbons....

at a little better than even odds....

i repeat,i am not playing them separately....if i lose,i lose one bet...

looking at semmy schilt at +130....and maybe very small on the dutch lumberjack(aerts) getting 2-1...le banner seems to be on the come and aerts seems to be on the decline...still,a small throwaway play...

St. Pierre - Sherk is destined to be an all out War. St. Pierre is one of the best all around athletes ive seen in MMA, and I wouldnt bet against him. Id rather sit back and watch. Franklin will destroy Quarry. Not even close to the same level. Quarry has some hype, and is a nice guy, and he will get a payday tonight. Thats about it.

Thanks for the props by the way in mentioning me. I'm not going overboard on this card but I do have

Franklin -270 (Just see him as being too strong and much better overall)

Sherk +200
St. Pierre -250

St Pierre is just about my fav fighter going in the UFC right now but at -250 I just can't bet this since this should be a war

Prangley +200
Horn -250

I don't like Horn I never have I think he is a pretty basic fighter however the dude can take a blow but if I was to pick an upset here and I am im going to be Prangley at +200

So my bets tonight
Franklin -340
Prangley +240

Pinnacle im betting at

can`t beat a sweep...of course, didn`t take a brain surgeon to play the faves tonight...wasn`t hard to cap....

.but,i did have the dogs schilt and aerts in k-1........i`ll crow a little on those plays....lol

st pierre is scary good...he dominated an excellent, albeit rusty sean sherk....

i thought sherk came fairly close with some of his compact punches early on...his stand up is much better than i suspected....

but,st pierre took him down at will....that`s pretty amazing....he dominated on the ground.......i wasn`t surprised at st pierre`s win...but,i was shocked at the domination....

he beat the shit out of sherk

as i suspected(and others),quarry was out of his league..he was brutalized...and a bit overhyped.....i wonder how that kind of knockout will affect him down the line?....that right leg was stiffer than ryan leaf`s pro career...

matt hughes is turning into royce gracie...lol

what a division....

jeremy horn?....maybe he`s a legend...i didn`t see his earlier career....but,he`s sloppy looking....he was gassed in the second round....cardio was horrible...

he may have been great at one time.......now,he`s not much more than a good trial horse..

he lost, flat out...i don`t care how you score this stuff...you got hosed,dmmd98...you capped it correctly...

congrats,guys....just love mma...

Spinchter your right, St. Pierre is unreal. He was fast becoming my fav after his first UFC fight. The kid is just soo much fun to watch. He has the skills and the charisma too. Still dont know if he can beat Hughes though. That will be a huge fight though. St. Pierre beat the piss out of Sherk, he is just a superb all around athlete.

BJ Penn coming back to fight at 170. Looked like he will only have to lose 50 pounds to get back at that weight. haha

Franklin fight should have been stopped, i was saying to my gf, after they let it go, that Nate didnt look good, and another head shot would take him down. I didnt think I would be soo right. That was scary for a second. Who in that division is going to seriuosly challange Franklin? Where is Lee Murray?
